Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 13-19 May 2019. The theme this year is Body Image, how we think and feel about our bodies. We have asked our in resident soul nutritionist Johanna how she changed her negative patterns and accepted her body as it is.
What we eat and how we dress is 2 of the actions we can actually control when we’re young.
In order to express ourselves we can refuse to eat what our parents tell us or how to dress before we can take the bus or own, drive a car or make love.
No wonder that they keep on effecting our mental state thru out our lives, they are connected to control and expressions.
Food, beauty and fashion have been intertwined in my life for as long as I can remember. They have had negative effects on my life, but they have also helped me release the same negative patterns so I could choose life and live it to the fullest.
If the I could send back a message to my former hurtful self this is what I would say. The only thing you will be best at in this world is to be YOU, so find out who you are.
In the universe you have a place
something is made for you
You just got to believe in it
Take this week and think about what you would say to your former self be kind, it is extremely healing.
